Product Developer (m/f/d)

Full Time Entry Level

Job description

These are your responsibilities

  • You analyze market opportunities, observe industry trends and customer needs, and derive innovative product ideas for our baby sleep products and clothing from them.
  • You accompany the entire product development process from the initial idea to series readiness, create technical product concepts, optimize cuts and size charts, and develop solutions for high-quality, durable, and product-safe processing.
  • You coordinate the development and sampling of new products, evaluate prototypes, and derive optimizations regarding function, quality, fit, and user experience from them.
  • You work closely with international suppliers, coordinate technical requirements, and oversee the implementation of new product concepts until production readiness.
  • You ensure that our products meet the highest quality and safety requirements, develop testing concepts, and accompany internal and external quality and safety tests.
  • You analyze legal and normative requirements, evaluate new product ideas regarding product safety and sustainability, and derive concrete development requirements from them.
  • You coordinate relevant certifications and proof of compliance, especially GOTS, OEKO-TEX®, and other product-specific standards.
  • You analyze customer feedback, return reasons, and complaints, and use the insights gained for the continuous further development of our products.
  • You work closely with the Product Management, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain departments and ensure smooth information flow along the entire development process.


What you bring with you

  • A degree in textile/clothing technology, product development, or a comparable qualification.
  • At least three years of practical experience in product development, textile technology, or quality management of textile products.
  • A good feel for product details, materials, processing techniques, and customer needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and normative requirements, and ideally experience with product safety and certifications.
  • Proficient use of common design programs (Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Office.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
