Job description

We develop and manufacture wheelsets and their components with the highest quality for all types of rail vehicles: classic trains and high-speed trains, subways, trams and local transport vehicles, locomotives and freight wagons. And deliver to more than 80 countries worldwide.

We are part of the transport transition!

We are looking for support for our "Engineering Light Rail" department.

Responsibilities

  • Independent, constructive processing of projects in cooperation
    with customers, suppliers, approval authorities and the relevant internal
    specialist departments
  • Conceptualization, calculation and design of wheels, wheelsets and bogie components for rail vehicles
  • Checking the technical documents created by project or calculation engineers or administrators
    for correctness and completeness
  • If necessary, independent creation and maintenance of product documentation (e.g., maintenance and operating instructions)
  • Review and commenting on specifications
  • Creation or review and approval of technical specifications
  • Conducting design reviews
  • Coordinating projects and participating in project teams
  • Conducting technical discussions and negotiations with customers and suppliers

Qualifications

  • Completed mechanical engineering degree with a diploma or Master of Engineering, preferably with a specialization in
    (rail) vehicle or construction engineering
  • Extensive expertise in the fields of design, structural mechanics, calculation and materials science
  • Initial professional experience in industry or research in the area of development
    and design of bogie components for rail vehicles is an advantage, but not mandatory. We also offer career entry opportunities for recent graduates.
  • At least improvable knowledge in the use of IT and engineering software products (CAD, SolidWorks)
  • Proficient use of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Teamwork, commitment, creativity and flexibility
