Job Description

The Production Assistant (Bak & Koswerk) will work directly under the owner/manager and provide comprehensive support in all aspects of preparing, producing, and packaging our home industry products. This position is ideal for someone who wants to develop a deep understanding of food production and specialize in culinary arts.

Main Responsibilities:

• Production and Preparation:

  • Preparation of ingredients according to recipes and instructions.

  • Baking of various products (e.g. cakes, tarts, cookies, breads, etc.).

  • Preparation of food items (e.g. appetizers, salads, confitures, sauces, etc.).

  • Ensure that all products consistently meet high standards and comply with taste requirements.

• Quality Control: Monitoring of product quality during each stage of production.

• Packaging: Proper and hygienic packaging of all completed products.

• Cleanliness and Organization:

  • Maintenance of a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen and workspace.

  • Nomination of all food safety and hygiene protocols.

  • Cleaning of equipment, tools, and work surfaces after use.

• Inventory Management: Assistance with receiving, storing, and organizing raw ingredients.

• Ad-hoc Tasks: Performing any other production-related tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the home industry.

Required Skills and Qualities

We are looking for an individual who possesses the following characteristics and skills:

• Age: Preferably under 29 years old.

• Passion for Baking and Cooking: Genuine love for and interest in culinary arts.

• Learner and Proactive: A strong desire to learn new recipes and techniques, show initiative, and take proactive steps in the kitchen.

• Accurate and meticulous work habits, particularly with measuring ingredients and following recipes.

• Higiene Awareness: A high standard of personal hygiene and strict adherence to food safety rules.

• Organizational Skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain a organized workspace.

• Reliability and Punctuality: A high level of responsibility, punctuality, and strong work ethic.

• Adaptability: The ability to quickly adapt to new recipes, production schedules, and a changing work environment.

• Physical Stamina: The position requires physical activity, including standing for long periods, lifting ingredients and products, and performing repetitive tasks.

• Own Transportation (Preferred): Although not always a requirement, having reliable and trustworthy transportation would be an advantage.
