Production Team Leader Machining

Responsibilities:

• Compliance with the instructions received from the Production Coordinator, and the organization's activity schedule.
• Organization of work shifts, has the authority to change the workstation of operators.
• Monitoring the adjustment of the product on machine tools and staying within planned time limits. Ensuring that the first pieces produced after adjustment are compliant.
• Taking over planning and shift tasks from the Production Manager, documentation from the Quality department and process engineers, or in shift III, from the Shift Leader of the previous shift.
• Clarifying for machine tool operators any aspect related to the executed order.
• Training machine operators professionally, so that they become 100% independent (can perform adjustments, corrections, etc. without the help of another person).
• Verifies that the necessary documentation is at the machines (drawing, Manufacturing Procedure, Tool List, Control Plan, Measurement Sheets).
• In case of unforeseen problems, changing the activity of the involved persons, including with other activities related to cleaning, machine maintenance, etc.
• Respecting machine setup times, execution times, first piece production times, attempting to achieve the objectives set in this regard.
• Monitoring the control of parts by operators according to the Control Plan, correct recording of measurements, respecting the frequency imposed in the Control Plan for production.
• Monitoring completed orders, handing them over to the next operation. They must be permanently informed about the status of parts in their area of activity and provide this information to company management if requested.
• Monitoring the correct labeling of products and semi-finished products.
• Monitoring the correct identification of products used for adjustments, non-conforming products, reworkable items, or rejects, isolating them from conforming products.
• Collaborates with Quality Control on the treatment of non-conforming products that appear during the shift. In case of rejects of any kind that cannot be resolved in the current shift, machine malfunctions, or non-compliant documentation, they have the obligation to stop production, ensure another activity for the operator, and escalate the situation.
• Preparing for the next Shift Leader and the Production Manager a complete communication and clear explanations regarding the activity carried out during the shift (problems that arose, modifications made). Any modification made to the technology, machining program, cutting parameters, tools, will be documented.
• Monitoring compliance with the work schedule, breaks, correct recording of time.
• Ensuring order and cleanliness in the milling hall.

• Encouraging subordinate personnel to make suggestions, proposals, observations for improving product quality and productivity.
• Participating together with the Production Coordinator in the evaluation of subordinate personnel.
• Identifying the causes that could prejudice the quality of the process and proposing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of and adherence to the organization's emergency action plans.
• To be loyal to the organization and not to disclose or disseminate documents without approval.

• To respect workplace discipline and the company's instructions regarding OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) and to participate in all training and actions organized in the field of occupational safety and health;
• In case of a work accident, provide first aid to the injured person only if specially trained to do so;
• To inform higher hierarchical superiors of any violation of occupational safety and health provisions committed at their workplace;
