Internal Sales & Production Support Consultant Gauteng (East Rand) | Full-Time | R15 000 per month Our client, an established metals recycling and refining operation based in the Gauteng East Rand area, is looking for a hands-on, detail-driven individual to join their team as an Internal Sales & Production Support Consultant. This is a production-floor role within a refinery environment — it is not a desk-based, IT, or technical helpdesk position. You'll be working directly with metal materials and raw stock, lab scanning equipment, stock control, and customer deliveries on a daily basis. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a hands-on, physically active, fast-paced production setting and enjoys variety across refinery, sales, and logistics functions. What You'll Be Doing Refinery & Production (40%) Booking in refining material received from suppliers
Weighing and photographing material before and after the melt process
Assaying material using specialised XRF (X-ray fluorescence) scanning equipment
Maintaining strict regulatory compliance throughout the production process
Uploading photographic records to the company's internal drive
Ensuring assays of alloys and pre-alloys stay within required parameters
Performing daily calibration checks on scanning equipment and managing related consumable stock
Internal Sales (40%) Conducting regular stock takes and reconciliations on metals, findings, and tools in line with company requirements
Supporting internal sales processes and maintaining accurate stock records
Deliveries & Collections (20%) Delivering materials to customers
Collecting materials from suppliers
What We're Looking For A valid South African driver's license is essential, as the role includes regular deliveries and collections
Willingness to undergo a polygraph test as part of the screening process, in line with industry security requirements
Comfortable working with physical stock, materials, and lab equipment in a production environment
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to weighing, recording, and reconciling material
Previous experience in a refinery, precious metals, stock control, or warehouse/production environment is advantageous
Trustworthy, reliable, and able to work within strict compliance and security protocols
Comfortable balancing production duties with internal sales and stock administration tasks
Please note: This role is based entirely on-site within a production and refinery environment. Candidates seeking an IT, systems, or technical helpdesk support role should not apply, as this position does not involve any IT-related duties.
