Your Title: Transport Planner Job Location: Tokoroa, New Zealand Our Department: Logistics Services About the Role Using specialist logistics software, the Transport Planner’s role is to execute and monitor the wood flow plan to ensure successful outcomes for our clients. This will require you to balance the micro requirements of the contractors to achieve the macro objectives of the forest owners. You will be coordinating and scheduling harvesting contractors and logging trucks to uplift loads from the forest floor to the processing facilities, ensuring that all logistical operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing effective wood flow plans to meet customer demands and optimize logistics operations • Coordinating with harvesting contractors and logging truck operators to ensure timely and efficient load uplifts • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as load volumes, transportation times, and costs • Collaborating with the forest owners and other stakeholders to achieve shared objectives • Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on logistics operations and wood flow planning • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in logistics and forestry • Maintaining accurate records of all logistical activities and reporting to management as required.
