Production Planner
Job description
Reporting to the Planning Manager in this role you will manage production plans for selected Hynds production unit requirements. Maximise availability for customers with best usage of available resources, optimising plant efficiencies where possible through planning.
Attributes • Planning & Organisational Skills to coordinate resources, schedules, and workflows efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met and operations run smoothly.• Accurate with Detail to ensure all costings, technical details, marketing and support literature are correct.• Ability to effectively engage with a wide range of people across the business.• Strong Analytical Skills to be able to interpret production and inventory data• Ability to work under pressure and adapt plans in a dynamic production environment.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can balance deadlines, stock availability, labour capacity, and equipment constraints.
Responsibilities
• Providing product availability estimates for Sales enquiries for standard and nonstandard products. Advise relevant parties when breach of these dates is likely to occur.• Ensuring all production compliance issues are investigated and where necessary corrective action is implemented.• Ensuring weekly (1-2 weeks firm) schedules by work centres for required manufactured items are completed weekly for relevant factories.• Contribute at relevant communications meetings with manufacturing and sales and ensure assigned tasks are completed.• Identifying opportunities to reduce inventory surpluses though alternate substitution.Attributes • Planning & Organisational Skills to coordinate resources, schedules, and workflows efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met and operations run smoothly.• Accurate with Detail to ensure all costings, technical details, marketing and support literature are correct.• Ability to effectively engage with a wide range of people across the business.• Strong Analytical Skills to be able to interpret production and inventory data• Ability to work under pressure and adapt plans in a dynamic production environment.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can balance deadlines, stock availability, labour capacity, and equipment constraints.
