Job description:The production operator is responsible for operating production equipment safely to meet quality and productivity requirements. Autonomous and responsible, the production operator is in charge of equipment and computerized consoles to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process. He/she has control, surveillance, and operation of the production line to ensure the quality of finished products. He/she works on different positions in the aluminum transformation process. Salary progression:Starting salary $37.34/hour and going up to $53.34/hour after 6 years. Duties to be performed are:
  • Perform various operation tasks in accordance with MAT
  • Plan metal fusion needs according to orders
  • Receive molten metal
  • Add alloy ingredients to the melt to meet product specifications
  • Transfer metal from furnaces to casting wheel, applying required treatments (filtration, degassing, etc.)
  • Operate the casting wheel to ensure metal solidification (bar)
  • Operate the rolling mill to transform bars into rods according to product specifications
  • Operate the winding machine and perform tests (torsion, elongation, etc.) to ensure product quality
  • Maintain health and safety procedures at work
  • Maintain general company policies
  • Ensure workplace cleanliness
  • Represent your work team on one or more committees
Sought-after profile:
  • You have the ability to work in a team while assuming your responsibilities
  • You are open to an alternating day and night shift schedule, including weekends
  • You hold a college diploma (DEC) or a college certificate (AEC)
  • You have more than three years of experience in industrial production
