Production Manager

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in driving performance, leading teams, and optimising production processes to meet business goals. This is a permanent full-time hands-on role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at 7:30 am to 4:00pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of production machinery, ensuring compliance with safety codes and maintenance standards
• Lead and motivate production teams, managing staffing, performance, training, and succession planning
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance efficiency
• Conduct regular quality checks, resolve production issues promptly, and ensure adherence to manufacturing standards
• Collaborate with scheduling and planning teams to meet production targets and optimise workflow
• Monitor plant performance and energy usage, using data to drive operational improvements
• Lead prototype builds, gather feedback, and apply learnings to improve future production runs
• Support the planning, procurement, and commissioning of new machinery and automation technologies
• Maintain accurate production data and standard operating times within the ERP system (Epicor)
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
