About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Production Manager to lead our caravan manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring efficient production planning, staff supervision, quality assurance, and ERP integration. You’ll drive operational excellence, WHS compliance, and support the company’s growth and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies and ERP-integrated production plans.
• Schedule caravan builds and servicing activities, optimising labour, materials, and equipment.
• Oversee daily workshop operations including equipment maintenance, ISO-based quality control, and WHS compliance.
• Monitor KPIs, labour utilisation, and cost metrics; implement improvements to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
• Coordinate with design, sales, and inventory teams to align production with customer demand.
• Lead the integration and utilisation of SAP S/4HANA for production tracking and resource planning.
• Supervise acquisition and installation of new machinery and workshop technologies.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards, and Fair Work Act obligations.
• Mentor and evaluate workshop staff, fostering a high-performing and safety-conscious culture.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, costing reports, and operational summaries.
• Drive continuous improvement using TPM, Kaizen, and Toyota Production System methodologies.

Skills & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP specialisation).
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences with strong analytical and mathematical foundation.
• 10+ years’ experience in production management within manufacturing (apparel or industrial sectors).
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems including S/4HANA and SuccessFactors.
• Proven success in lean manufacturing, capacity planning, and production optimisation.
• Strong leadership, staff management, and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation, ISO standards, and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
