Production Engineer

Are you an expert in manufacturability and production techniques? Do you also have knowledge of welding techniques? Then this position is for you! The Function As a Production Engineer, you contribute to safeguarding, developing, and further improving the production process. The Production Engineering department is a staff department of production and supports in safeguarding the entire manufacturing process. Furthermore, Production Engineering is an important partner in development teams regarding manufacturability. In addition to participation in development teams for new products, very interesting rationalization projects are planned due to our enormous growth plans. In short, a very diverse function where you can utilize both your theoretical and practical knowledge and maintain very close contact with colleagues in the workshop as well as other engineering departments. Your primary tasks: * Contribute to and advise on manufacturability; * Technical point of contact for production technical problems; * Analyze and solve production technical problems; * Contribute to the setup and maintenance of work instructions; * Contribute to the development and/or improvement of processes and production resources such as jigs and tools; * Contribute to investment projects regarding new production resources; * Participate in starting up new projects in production; * Contribute to safeguarding and improving quality; * Prepare specifications for required production tooling; * Provide technical support to Development Teams, NPI, and Planning. Your Strength You are an expert in production techniques, particularly welding and/or robot welding. You enjoy working in a team and are happy to form the link between different departments such as engineering, NPI, and production. Furthermore, you possess: * Good analytical skills, which you apply to problem-solving; * A completed Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering or comparable); * Experience with industrial manufacturing and engineering techniques in mechanical engineering is a plus; * Knowledge and experience in the field of production system development; * Knowledge and experience in the field of SPC and Lean-6 Sigma is a plus.
