Production Engineer Welding Techniques

Your Role as Production Engineer

As a Production Engineer, you are responsible for safeguarding, developing, and improving our production process. You are part of the Production Engineering department, which, as a staff department, works closely with production and the development teams. You will contribute to new products and interesting rationalization projects that align with our growth ambitions. You combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience and work closely with colleagues from the workshop and other engineering departments.

• You contribute ideas and advise on manufacturability
• You are the technical point of contact for production problems
• You analyze and solve production-technical problems
• You create and maintain work instructions
• You develop and improve processes and production resources such as jigs and tools
• You contribute to investment projects for new production resources
• You initiate new projects in production
• You monitor and improve quality
• You draw up specifications for required production tooling
• You technically support the development teams, NPI, and work preparation

What We Ask of You

You are an expert in production techniques, particularly welding and/or robot welding. You enjoy working collaboratively in a team and act as the link between engineering, NPI, and production.

• Good analytical skills to solve problems
• A completed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with industrial manufacturing and engineering techniques in mechanical engineering is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with the development of production systems
• Knowledge of SPC and Lean Six Sigma is a plus
