Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join our team on a full time basis. You will work closely with the team at 10 Downing Street, Carlisle Western Australia to carry out a range of tasks including coordinating and supervising daily activities of our work crews. Your new role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support to the Production team, troubleshoot and optimise operations, as well as manage the operations and maintenance teams responsible for supporting production.

The Production Engineer also provides technical support and facilitate efficient systems of work to meet safety, production and cost targets. You will be contributing to continual improvement within the production department, including management of change processes to remove barriers and optimise work systems and improvement to production processes where identified.

To be successful in this role you will conduct and oversee a broad cross section of administrative and engineering activities that will support the achievement of business goals and objectives.

This will include;

Job tasks and responsibilities

Production and Plant Engineer :

- Design, develop and implement installation/ testing processes and systems to improve quality, increase efficiency, and reduce production costs.

- Develop and maintain installation process documentation, including process flow charts, work instructions, and process control plans.

- Maintenance and update of processes documentation such as: BOM/production routers, procedures, drawings, specifications, ..etc.

- Develops the required documentation, procedures, drawings, protocols, engineering change notices, technical reports and other information as required by the company.

- Analysis layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization standards to maximize the manufacturing processes efficiency.

- Evaluates, investigates and documents non-conformances incidents.

- Supports the introduction of new businesses and products/processes.

- Participates in the development of the new processes, process transfers and continuous improvement, and issue resolution.

- Develops and implements Lean projects and quality improvement plans. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Create, maintain / update 3D Models, 2D Drawings and installation documentation.

- Work on special projects including new equipment justification, installation, setup, upgrades, redesign / new design and efficiency improvements.

- Provides technical support for specific plant operations.

Skills and experience

Criteria for applicants

Essential qualifications and skills

  • Chemical engineering degree and post graduate certificate is highly regarded
  • Minimum 3 years engineering experience in oil & gas, chemical processing or heavy industrial environment and renewable energy
  • Proven performance based culture & leadership style
  • Experience in and knowledge of operations in hazardous areas
  • Experience leading Process Hazard Analysis (HAZOP’s, HAZID’s, SAFOP’s) desirable
  • Management of Process and systems improvement including development and implementation of SOP’s and management of change protocols

Remuneration

Salary: AUD 110,000 to $140,000 per annum plus superannuation
