Job description
As Production Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the production department of Vers Bereid Door Crisp. You will steer on output, quality, and safety, but above all on structure, collaboration, and improvement. You will translate what customers want into a feasible production plan. You will help your team achieve their best and build with us a production department that is as solid as a rock. You are the link between production, engineering, quality, logistics, and the office. This way, you keep costs in check, ensure we deliver what we promise, and help us grow.
What you will do
You will translate forecasts and orders into a realistic production plan and monitor it daily, based on customer requests and availability.
You will lead the daily start-up meeting, assign work, and set priorities. You will make adjustments in case of delays or breakdowns.
You will be visibly present on the floor and act as the point of contact for operators, technical services, and quality employees.
You will manage team leaders, operators, and support services based on results.
You will embody and maintain a culture of safety, discipline, openness, and responsibility.
Together with the team, you will initiate and implement improvement actions: increase OEE, shorten changeover times, reduce waste.
You will track and analyze key figures: output, yield, waste, and rejections. You will report to management and make proposals based on data.
You will ensure food safety and quality standards. You will check quality records, monitor hygiene and HACCP, and prepare for audits.
You will be the first point of contact for audits, deviations, and escalations.
You will manage operational HR tasks: personnel planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and coaching of team members, ensuring the team remains versatile and engaged.
You will oversee raw material and packaging orders, inventory, and capacity, and coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and other departments.
You will advise management on investments, capacity bottlenecks, and improvement initiatives.
This is you
You know what you're talking about, but more importantly: you bring people along. You are visible, honest, clear, and consistent.
You can easily switch between details on the floor and broader business goals. You act quickly and think structurally.
Standing still is not for you. You want to continuously improve processes, waste, lead times, and performance.
You don't let anything slip through the cracks. You ensure standards are met with your team, know your CCPs, and intervene in case of risks.
You work with dashboards, reports, and planning data, and make decisions based on facts, not feelings.
You ensure calm, rhythm, and ownership. Colleagues know where they stand and grow with your guidance.
You know that production only runs smoothly when quality, engineering, planning, and production truly collaborate. You are that bridge.
