Product Owner - Healthtech (m/f/d)

In Germany, patients spend 30 billion EUR annually at the dentist. Despite this market size, many practices still work with outdated offline software from the 80s. Roger is here to change that.

Our Mission: To revolutionize dental practices with our virtual AI assistant, Roger. Our software transforms treatment planning and patient communication, increases efficiency and revenue, and simplifies daily practice life for dentists and their teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for the product backlog and the operational implementation of the roadmap at Roger. You will work closely with the development team, the founder/CEO, and our users, translating product strategy into concrete, prioritized requirements – ensuring the team delivers the right things at the right time.

Responsibilities

• Own the Product Backlog: You will maintain, prioritize, and refine the backlog, ensuring it always reflects the most important value contributions.
• Implement the Roadmap: You will translate the product strategy developed with the founder/CEO into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.
• Ensure Time-to-Market: In close coordination with Engineering, you will ensure efficient implementation and fast, reliable delivery of new features.
• Conceptualize Features for Practice Workflow Optimization: You will develop new features that noticeably simplify the daily work in medical practices – from idea to release.
• Understand and Analyze Practice Management Systems (PMS): You will analyze existing practice management systems and derive requirements from them (including reverse engineering of data structures and workflows).
• Gather Data Comparison and User Feedback: Through data structure comparison using SQL and direct user feedback, you will design practical, needs-based solutions. An understanding of medical reality will help you develop precisely tailored features.
• Act as a Communication Interface between Business and Technology: You will be the liaison between users, stakeholders, and engineering, clearly communicating priorities in both directions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a comparable role in a Healthtech startup/scale-up – ideally in dentistry.
• Proficient in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and backlog management.
• You naturally use AI tools in your daily work and actively seek ways to make products and processes better and faster with them.
• You understand how AI can be meaningfully integrated into products and where it provides real value, rather than just being a superficial addition.
• You actively follow new AI developments and contribute ideas on how we can use them at Roger (AI-pilled / AI-First mentality).
• Good technical understanding to precisely communicate product requirements to the engineering team.
• Drive for Growth / Growth Mindset: Deep commitment to personal and professional growth, open to feedback and new learning opportunities.
• Personal skills: analytical and structured work, initiative, independent problem-solving, willingness to learn, and enjoyment of teamwork.
• Completed university degree, ideally in a medical, business, or IT field.
• Very good German and English language skills.
