Product Manager Ocean (m/w/d)

We are developing with Scope a modern, global software solution for international freight forwarders. Our goal: building a strong, networked Scope community that supports our users in shaping the complex world of logistics more efficiently, transparently, and collaboratively.

As Product Manager Ocean (m/w/d), you will be the central driving force behind the further development of our Ocean product area and directly contribute to our corporate strategy.

Aufgaben

As Product Manager Ocean, you are responsible for continuously developing our Ocean area, recognizing market opportunities, and expanding Scope to one of the leading products in the ocean freight logistics industry. You will work closely with your Product Owner, internal teams, and international customers.

What you will do

• Market and competition analysis: Observation of global trends in ocean freight logistics, identification of innovation potential, and derivation of new product ideas.
• Contact to stakeholders & customers: Close cooperation with users, interested parties, and internal teams to take up requirements and use cases.
• Concept and specification: Analysis of strategically relevant requirements, creation of professional specifications, and submission to the Product Owner for inclusion in the product backlog.
• Representation of the Ocean product externally: Conducting customer workshops, product presentations, webinars, and meetings with customers and prospects.
• Providing expert knowledge: You will be the company-wide expert for Ocean processes – both for the product team and for Sales, Marketing, and Management.

Qualification

What qualifies you

• Multiple years of experience in the field of ocean freight logistics, freight forwarding, or transport management – ideally in conjunction with software products
• Very good understanding of typical Ocean processes such as booking, carrier communication, shipment handling, documentation, or tracking
• Experience in product management or business analysis is advantageous
• High analytical thinking and the ability to structure complex requirements clearly
• Communication strength and joy in working with customers and presenting products
• Team spirit, proactivity, and the ability to quickly get up to speed in new topics
• Your work style is characterized by a clear structure, reliability, and a high degree of self-initiative and willingness to take responsibility.
