Job description

Most product roles at your level give you a backlog and a sprint. This one gives you a question: Why does a dealer jump between bid and purchase? You dive into the data, talk to customers, build the solution with Engineering, and measure if it worked.

Location: Munich – You will work on-site in our office, hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days of working from home.

About us

CarOnSale is the AI-powered platform for B2B used car trading in Europe. Over 40,000 buyers from more than 20 countries trade on our platform – and 85% of the inventory is exclusive to us. We combine software, pricing intelligence, logistics, and financing in one layer – as the operating system for an entire industry.

One Platform. One Profit Engine.

Your tasks

  • You are responsible for features and improvements in your product area – from requirements gathering through implementation with Engineering to launch.
  • You analyze where dealers drop off in the purchase process and develop measures that measurably increase conversion.
  • You work on the technical integration of partners and accompany API integrations together with Engineering.
  • You regularly speak with dealers, systematically collect feedback, and translate it into concrete requirements.
  • You independently maintain and prioritize your backlog and justify your prioritization with data.
  • You track the KPIs of your features after launch and derive the next steps from them.

What you bring

  • 2-4 years of experience in product management or as a Product Owner, ideally in a digital B2B, platform, or e-commerce environment
  • Initial experience in conversion optimization – you have already analyzed funnels and implemented improvements
  • Technical understanding of API integrations: You don't have to develop yourself, but you need to understand what Engineering is talking about
  • Strong analytical approach: You work with data yourself and derive decisions from it
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative: You don't wait for tasks, but recognize yourself where things are not going well
  • Strong communication skills: You explain complex topics clearly and enjoy working directly with customers
  • German at C2 level and fluent in English
  • Proficient in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira and Confluence
  • AI-savvy approach – you actively use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot in your daily work

Advantageous

  • Experience with checkout, payment, or financing processes (e.g., BNPL)
  • Initial touchpoints with partnerships or the automotive environment

What awaits you with us

  • Hybrid work: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home – plus 10 days “Work from Anywhere” per year
  • 28 days of vacation
  • 2× annual career & development discussions
  • Company pension plan with a 20% employer contribution
  • Paid Germany Ticket
  • FitX membership or Urban Sports Club subsidy
  • Virtual Stock Options – you share in our success
  • Modern IT equipment for your daily work
  • Structured onboarding with a buddy program and social events
  • Lived diversity: active women's network
