Job description
Understand how people work. Build the software that makes their work better.
At Buena, we acquire property management companies and develop the software they use daily. We can directly observe where processes get stuck, what information is missing, and what wastes people's time unnecessarily.
We are looking for a Product Manager who wants to understand and solve these problems. You will go to the users, identify common needs across multiple management companies, and translate your findings into clear priorities and concrete product improvements.
You will work closely with Engineering and Design. You will shape the direction and take care of the details that turn a good idea into a working product.
What You'll Do With Us
Understand Users and Workflows: You will observe the work in our property management companies and identify problems that haven't reached us yet through support requests or online feedback.
Identify Common Needs: You will compare processes between management companies and identify improvements with the greatest benefit.
Shape the Roadmap: You will connect individual projects with a clear product direction, justify priorities, and make them understandable to the team.
Develop Solutions: You will research alternatives, develop proposals, and think through user workflows together with Engineering and Design.
Understand Connections: You will understand how properties, units, owners, documents, and other data are interconnected – and what the consequences of changes in one area are.
Guide from Idea to Usage: You will provide the appropriate level of detail for a project, clarify open questions during development, and check after the release whether the improvement is well-received.
Practical AI Application: You will use tools to analyze product behavior, test ideas, build prototypes, and support testing.
What You Bring
Experience with Software for Real-World Workflows: For example, from ERP, Supply Chain, HR, CRM, or other complex business processes. You understand that software must consider existing processes and frameworks.
Strong Discovery Skills: You ask precise questions, go beyond the initial wish, and find out what problem actually needs to be solved.
Good Product Judgment: You turn an unclear starting situation into a clear direction, sensible priorities, and understandable user workflows.
Understanding of Linked Systems: You can comprehend relationships between data and the impact of changes.
Practical Technical and AI Competence: You can use tools to investigate a system and build a prototype. We do not expect you to deliver production-ready code independently.
Self-Responsibility and Teamwork: You contribute clear proposals, allow them to be questioned, and develop a better solution with others.
A Pragmatic Approach: You can handle uncertainty, dive into details, and drive things forward in a small team.
You don't need to be an expert in property management yet. You need the curiosity and ability to immerse yourself in this world. Experience in an early-stage startup can be good proof of this – but we are open to diverse backgrounds.
Why You Should Join Buena
You are Close to the Problem: You have direct access to our users and can verify whether your work improves their daily lives.
You Shape the Product: In our small team, your insights and decisions have a direct impact on what we build next.
You Grow With Your Contribution: Good results quickly lead to more responsibility within our company.
You Work Closely With the Team: Personal interaction and short communication lines are important to us. We work together from our office in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.
Your Benefits
Proximity to the Office is Rewarded: Up to €500 Close-to-Office bonus if you live within a 10–20 minute walk of the office.
Food: €110 monthly lunch budget.
Sports: €50 fitness subsidy.
Professional Development: €1,200 education budget per year.
Reading Material: We cover the cost of books you wish to read.
Do you want to understand complex processes and turn them into a product that people enjoy using? Then we want to get to know you.
