Product Manager Grower Experience (m/f/d)

Full Time Lead

Job description

About the Position

Shape the digital infrastructure of European horticulture with us

Connected Growers develops June: The platform through which growers, buyers, and marketers collaborate efficiently. We replace fragmented processes with modern software and create a common digital infrastructure for an entire industry.

To this end, we are looking for a Product Manager (m/f/d) for our Grower Experience division to further develop our application for horticultural businesses together with Engineering and Design.

Your Role at June

As a Product Manager Grower Experience (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the product development of our application for growers. You will report directly to our CPO.

Your users are horticultural businesses, whose needs you will learn about through close collaboration with them and other industry experts. From this, you will develop technical solutions and standards for the industry.

You will define relevant KPIs for your product area and consistently measure the success of your work against them.

Requirements

What you bring

  • At least 4–5 years of experience in product management of B2B software products.

  • Experience in independently conducting user interviews, willingness to undertake irregular on-site visits to growers. (Driver's license required)

  • Knowledge of common tracking and analytics tools.

  • Excellent written communication skills (roadmaps, PRDs).

  • Up-to-date AI experience: You are up-to-date with new developments and find ways to efficiently use AI for your work and embedded in the software team.

  • Fluent German, very good English.

This would be a plus

  • Experience with processes from inventory management or trade.

  • A software background combined with product management experience.

Responsibilities

What you will achieve with us

  • You will be responsible for the product strategy and roadmap for the Grower Experience area.

  • You will independently speak with our growers weekly, build relationships with them, and visit the businesses on-site at irregular intervals.

  • You will work closely with Design and Engineering, conduct user interviews together with Design, and translate the insights gained into concrete product decisions while technically guiding the team through the entire product development process.

  • You will understand and articulate the business value of your product decisions, including through KPI frameworks, and use tracking and analytics data to validate assumptions and make data-driven product decisions.

  • You will communicate roadmaps, PRDs, and product decisions clearly and convincingly – both in writing and orally.

  • You will naturally use AI in your daily work – for prototyping, your own data analyses, and an efficient, AI-supported product development process together with your engineering team.

Your work will have a direct impact on our product, our customers, and the success of June.

This is how we work

Our product teams are fully responsible for their areas: from product strategy, user research, and prioritization to release and the commercial KPIs of their area.
Together with Design and Engineering, you will take responsibility for the success of your product area and continuously work to improve it.
We regularly speak with our customers, visit them on-site, and test our solutions together with them. We believe that good product decisions can only be made when one truly understands the users' problems.
We work pragmatically, make decisions early, and adapt them when new insights emerge. We have strong opinions, but we don't dogmatically stick to them. Responsibility doesn't end with the release for us.

The Perspective

What awaits you

  • The opportunity to take product responsibility for one of June's core areas.

  • The chance to fundamentally change European horticulture

  • An experienced Design, Product, and Engineering team by your side.

  • Great creative freedom for product strategy and roadmap.

  • A lot of responsibility and short decision-making processes.

  • Modern, AI-supported work throughout the entire product development process.

  • The opportunity to actively shape our product culture.

  • Hybrid work in our office in Cologne as well as regular visits to growers on-site.

Note: The position will initially be filled through Bridgemaker and subsequently transferred to Connected Growers.
