Product Manager (gn) | Solar Tracker Systems

As a Product Manager (gn) | Solar Tracker Systems, you will take on technical business ownership for our product portfolio in the Solar Tracker Systems sector. You will drive the further development of innovative system solutions and accompany our products throughout their entire product lifecycle – from the initial idea to their obsolescence.

In this role, you will work closely with internal departments such as Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other relevant areas. You will understand market requirements as well as customer needs and translate them into economically and technically convincing product solutions for the national and international Solar Tracker Systems market.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of market trends, customer needs, technological developments, and regulatory frameworks to identify market potential, customer requirements, and areas for action in the field of Solar Tracker Systems
• Derivation and initiation of suitable measures for the further development of the product portfolio in the field of Solar Tracker Systems, as well as identification of product improvement and market potential in close cooperation with the relevant departments
• Driving the technical further development of the product portfolio throughout the entire product lifecycle – from conception to product obsolescence
• Analysis and translation of technical, project-specific, and market-side customer requirements into concrete product requirements for the further development of the product portfolio
• Assessment of product costs as well as manufacturability and deliverability in collaboration with Engineering and Supply Chain
• Close cooperation with internal departments to develop economically viable and market-oriented product solutions
• Management of product-specific requirements from large projects as well as coordination of customer-specific solution approaches in close cooperation with the relevant departments
• Development and maintenance of product positioning, value propositions, and unique selling points for the product portfolio in the field of Solar Tracker Systems
• Support for Sales in the technical evaluation of customer requirements and development of suitable solution concepts for various application areas
• Provision of technical product information, market knowledge, and solution approaches for the successful market launch and marketing of new and existing products

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field
• Several years of professional experience in technical product management, technical project management, or business development, ideally in the field of Solar Tracker Systems, photovoltaics, mechanical or plant engineering, or comparable technical industries
• Experience with complex technical products and in international project business
• Strong technical understanding combined with a good understanding of market and customer requirements
• Experience in market, competitor, and customer analysis, as well as in product positioning and sales support
• Entrepreneurial thinking, strong communication skills, and a structured and analytical way of working
• Proficiency in PLM, ERP, and MS Office applications
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
