Job description
Who are we?
Our mission
With Solteo, we want to give electrification of buildings every chance by supporting those on the front lines: installation companies.
⚡ Producing its own electricity from solar, heating with a heat pump, recharging its vehicle, storing: the electrification of buildings is the first lever of decarbonization. Photovoltaics leads the way — according to Xavier Piechaczyk of RTE: "photovoltaics has great potential, but we need to accelerate rapidly"
👷♂️ The availability of installers is hindering this acceleration. These limited professionals often waste time on the organization and management of increasingly technical projects. In solar alone, they have 4 million homes to equip by 2030!
💻 Solteo is the electrification project organization platform that helps installers manage their time and projects, regardless of the equipment installed. Our initial metrics: 75% time saved, +30% conversion, and happy users!
A word from the CEO
“Entrepreneurship is the most effective way to make an impact! That's why we chose the energy sector, and particularly electrification. We are shaping tomorrow's world, the world of decentralized renewable energy: step by step, project by project. We are accelerating this transition and, above all, making it possible. What is certain is that we feel useful, our product is popular and quickly becomes indispensable to our users.
Joining Solteo means knowing how to listen and remain attentive to feedback from our customers and our market, because they are the ones shaping Solteo's trajectory! This product is primarily theirs!” — Manon
And what about this position?
The role
We are looking for our Founding Marketing Manager to build Solteo's acquisition and brand awareness engine. As the first marketing hire, you will start from a near-blank slate: strategy, channels, budget, and brand are to be built, in direct connection with Manon (CEO).
Your objective: to generate a steady stream of qualified leads for the sales team, at a controlled acquisition cost, and to make Solteo a benchmark in building electrification for installers. You will also support the launch of our new offerings.
Missions and responsibilities
You will take end-to-end responsibility for a product area: understanding our users' problems, identifying the best opportunities, designing and scoping solutions with the team, bringing them to production, and measuring their impact.
We are especially looking for someone highly autonomous, pragmatic, and comfortable in a startup environment, where not everything is always perfectly defined and where one must know how to move forward, make decisions, and get hands-on.
Continuous Discovery
You will develop a deep understanding of our users, their usage patterns, and their pain points. You will combine field interactions, team feedback, and data analysis to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
Shaping & Design
You will transform sometimes vague problems into well-defined topics and simple solutions. You will be able to quickly materialize an idea through user flows, wireframes, or prototypes, and challenge it with users and the team.
Delivery & Impact
You will work closely with developers to bring projects to production, without losing sight of the original problem. Once features are delivered, you will measure their adoption and impact to understand what works—or doesn't—and continue to iterate.
Ownership & Autonomy
You will not wait for someone to precisely break down your work. When you identify an important problem, you will seek to understand it, involve the right people, and drive the subject forward.
Your objectives:
⭐ The first 30 days — Understand
Your first objective will be to absorb as much context as possible: the Solteo product, our users and their professions, the photovoltaic market, our Product & Tech operations, and our main business challenges.
You will quickly participate in discussions with our clients and start working on real product topics.
🎯 Objective: understand who our users are, how they use Solteo, their main problems, and the stakes behind our roadmap.
⭐ 1 to 3 months — Take ownership of your scope
You will gradually take responsibility for a product area. You will conduct your own investigations, participate in shaping topics, design solutions with the team, and monitor their delivery.
🎯 Objective: autonomously lead a product topic, from understanding the problem to its production.
⭐ 3 to 12 months — Become fully autonomous
You will manage your scope with great autonomy: understanding problems, identifying opportunities, defining priorities, building the right projects with the team, and measuring their impact.
🎯 Objective: be fully responsible for the product impact of your scope and actively contribute to evolving our way of building the product.
The skills we are looking for
You have 3+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally on a B2B SaaS product.
You are comfortable in a startup environment: ambiguity does not paralyze you, and you know how to move forward without having all the answers.
You have good product and UX sense and know how to transform a complex problem into a simple solution.
You are comfortable with both users and technical teams.
You know how to use data to challenge your intuitions and measure the impact of what you build.
You are autonomous, curious, and pragmatic: when you need to dive into a subject or get your hands dirty, you do it.
What would be a plus
You don't need to tick all the boxes, but we will be particularly interested if:
you have already worked in a B2B SaaS startup or scale-up with a strong execution culture;
you know how to use PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude or a similar tool;
you can write SQL queries to explore data yourself;
you have used no-code / low-code tools to prototype, automate, or quickly test an idea;
you are proficient in Figma and Claude Code (or Codex), without being a Product Designer or Developer.
you have experience with complex business software;
you have previously worked with artisans, freelancers, or construction professionals;
you know or have already used Shape Up — otherwise, don't worry, it can be learned quickly;
you are interested in the energy sector and energy transition;
you know the difference between kWp and kWh.
But Solteo is also…
A lively and energetic professional environment, where taking initiative is not only appreciated but also rewarded.
The opportunity to enhance and enrich your knowledge in a growing and meaningful sector.
Offices located in the heart of Paris, with several other solar startups
A diversity of captivating projects, offering the opportunity to collaborate with diverse and varied clients. You won't get bored!
We also promise you a supportive, welcoming, and stimulating team atmosphere. And of course, lots of team events!
