Accounting is a central part of this work. Whether it's rent distribution, sub-accounts, or annual statements: processes must be understandable, results correct, and automations reliable even when something deviates from the standard case.

We are looking for someone who deeply understands accounting and can translate this knowledge into better software. Together with our users, engineering, and design, you will find out which problems we need to solve, what a good solution looks like, and where our accounting product should develop.

What you will do with us

• Truly understand problems: You will delve into the accounting processes of our property management companies – including special cases, functional requirements, and existing limitations.

• Identify the right improvements: You will distinguish between missing functions, unclear processes, technical errors, and usability issues.

• Shape the product direction: You will develop a clear vision of how accounting should work at Buena and prioritize improvements based on benefit, functional necessity, and impact.

• Make solutions concrete: You will translate complex requirements into understandable concepts, specifications, and user flows, which you will further develop with engineering and design.

• Ensure correctness: You will review solutions, consider special cases, and assess whether new features meet the underlying requirements.

• Stay involved until usage: You will accompany improvements until their launch and verify whether they solve the original problem in everyday use.

This could be a targeted improvement for rent distributions – or the fundamental further development of our account structure.

What you bring to the table

• Deep understanding of accounting: You can explain processes and recognize when something is functionally missing or incorrect. Experience in real estate or WEG (condominium owners' association) accounting is particularly valuable.

• Product thinking: You question existing workflows, distinguish between real requirements and habits, and develop ideas for better processes.

• Analytical strength: You break down complex problems, compare solution paths, and recognize which next step will bring the greatest benefit.

• Technical curiosity: You want to understand how our software works and can discuss requirements and trade-offs with engineers.

• Clear communication and self-responsibility: You bring together technical expertise, user perspective, and product development, and stick with a solution until it works in practice.

Experience with the development or improvement of accounting software is particularly relevant. Your previous job title is secondary: what matters is that you understand accounting and can derive meaningful software solutions from it. Practical experience with AI tools for research, prototypes, or testing is a plus.
