Product Industrialisation & Manufacturing Lead, Electrolyzer

A US growth-stage climate infrastructure startup building and scaling electrolyzer systems for carbon removal and green hydrogen production. Having successfully deployed large-scale pilot systems, the company is now transitioning from prototype, demonstration-scale builds into commercial manufacturing, industrial-scale deployment and is establishing its production capability in India. The current phase focuses on industrialising electrolyzer hardware - transforming their First of its Kind - Generation One (Gen1) electrolyzer design into a scalable, high-volume manufacturing process. This role will lead the development and implementation of industrial-scale manufacturing processes for the Gen1 electrolyzer, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and environmental considerations. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing industrial-scale manufacturing processes for the Gen1 electrolyzer, including supply chain management, production planning, and quality control. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing processes into existing operations. • Designing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and environmental considerations. • Developing and managing budgets for capital expenditures, operating expenses, and personnel. • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders. • Providing technical guidance and support to manufacturing teams. • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with industrial-scale manufacturing. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant. The ideal candidate will have: • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business, operations). • At least 5 years of experience in industrial-scale manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain management. • Strong understanding of electrolyzer technology and its applications. • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. • Experience working in India or other emerging markets is a plus.
