PRODUCT ENGINEERING SPECIALIST

ABOUT THE ROLE

Quanex is looking for a Product Engineering Specialist to join the Product Engineering & Technical Data Management team, with the objective of supporting industrialization processes and the analysis of industrial product costs.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop cost estimates and investment evaluations related to new products and modifications of existing products;
• Define and update the production cycles for new products;
• Support and monitor the startup phase of new products in production;
• Calculate, validate, and release industrial product costs;
• Analyze production costs, contributing to the identification and implementation of cost optimization and reduction initiatives.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Mechanical or Management Engineering or related fields.
• Preferable 3-5 years of experience in the role in manufacturing contexts;
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;
• Basic knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems;
• Ability to read mechanical drawings;
• Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken;
• Knowledge of technical design software (e.g., AutoCAD) will be a plus.

Compensation Package:

• National Collective Agreement for the Metalworking and Plant Installation Industry
• Salary range between €38,000 and €45,000. The offer will be commensurate with the experience and skills of the selected candidate.
