PRODUCT ENGINEERING SPECIALIST

ABOUT THE ROLE
Quanex is looking for a Product Engineering Specialist to join the Product Engineering & Technical Data Management team, with the objective of supporting industrialization processes and the analysis of industrial product costs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop cost estimates and investment evaluations related to new products and modifications of existing products;
- Define and update the production cycles for new products;
- Support and monitor the startup phase of new products in production;
- Calculate, validate, and release industrial product costs;
- Analyze production costs, contributing to the identification and implementation of cost optimization and reduction initiatives.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Mechanical or Management Engineering or related fields.
- Preferable 3-5 years of experience in the role in manufacturing contexts;
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;
- Basic knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems;
- Ability to read mechanical drawings;
- Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken;
- Knowledge of technical design software (e.g., AutoCAD) will be a plus.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work under pressure, demonstrating autonomy, professional maturity, and confidence in the role;
- Accuracy, organization, and predisposition for methodical and detail-oriented activities.
Compensation Package:
- National Collective Agreement for the Metalworking and Plant Installation Industry
- Salary range between €38,000 and €45,000. The offer will be commensurate with the experience and skills of the selected candidate.
