Product Engineer

At Salland Engineering, we are looking for a Product Engineer who plays an important role in the smooth functioning of our pilot line and in supporting the production team. In this role, you will be the link between production, engineering, and the customer.

The Product Engineering team, part of the Semitest Group, is becoming increasingly important within Salland Engineering. Within this environment, you will be responsible for releasing test solutions for qualification, characterization, and production testing. Additionally, you will manage qualification runs in collaboration with the customer, the planner, and our reliability partner.

You will continuously work on improvements and, together with your team, strive for more efficient processes and tooling. You do not see malfunctions as obstacles, but as challenges. You adapt quickly, think analytically and practically, and ensure that we continue to perform optimally. You are visible on the shop floor and have a lot of contact with operators, team leaders, engineering colleagues, and the planner.

A selection of your tasks

• You will manage new product introductions (NPI) in production environments;

• You will manage and evaluate qualification and reliability tests, such as HTOL, HAST, and Temp Cycle;

• You will analyze test data to assess performance, yield, and reliability;

• You will troubleshoot at device, hardware, and software levels and perform root cause analyses for test deviations, yield drops, and product failures;

• You will provide technical support to production and test teams for product issues and analyze and resolve device, test, and process deviations;

• You will ensure smooth transitions to high volume manufacturing (HVM);

• You will act as a technical point of contact for customers and coordinate technical improvements with suppliers and external test partners;

• You will coordinate technical projects focused on test optimization, yield improvement, and product innovation, and prepare product release reports, characterization reports, and yield analyses.

What we ask of you

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's working and thinking level, preferably in a technical direction, with experience in electronics;

• You are analytically strong and can investigate and solve technical problems in a structured manner;

• You work independently, take responsibility, and keep your promises;

• You can easily adapt in a dynamic environment and maintain overview and structure even under changing circumstances;

• You are proactive, communicative, and can work well with colleagues and external parties;

• You have a good command of both the English and Dutch languages, in spoken and written form;

• You live in the Netherlands and have a maximum of one hour's travel time to our office in Zwolle;

• If you are not a Dutch or EU citizen, you already possess a valid Dutch work visa.
