Product Engineer (m/f/d)

• Property management is the most underestimated profession in Germany: No other profession has such an immediate impact on how people live. Nevertheless, property managers are still seen as accountants with a set of keys. We want to change that, and software is one of our central levers for this.
• With lpeOS, we are building the systems that we ourselves use every day: the customer portal for our property owners, AI agents that independently take on tasks, and the property manager cockpit as the work environment for our property managers. We are digitizing our own processes to make the work of our property managers a little better every day, with the ambition to revolutionize the industry.
• Hardly any industry has been overlooked by modern software for so long. The gap between what is and what is possible is huge, and we are closing it piece by piece. You would be one of the first people in the product team.

• You will develop full-stack in TypeScript, from the customer portal and property manager cockpit to the services and infrastructure behind them, from scratch and without legacy code. You will be responsible for features end-to-end: from the idea through design to release, even without a designer by your side if necessary.
• You will build AI agents as product functionality for our property managers and customers. At the same time, we are constantly further developing our own development environment: a modern setup around Cursor and Claude Code, including agent graph loops and harness.
• You will work closely with the users: your colleagues and customers are directly accessible, and you will receive feedback quickly and directly. We collect problems, evaluate them, and build the most important ones in fixed cycles.
• Our stack: TypeScript throughout, with React and Next.js on the frontend and Node on the backend, as a monorepo on Google Cloud (Infrastructure as Code), plus Postgres and event-driven processes. You don't have to know all of it; you'll learn the rest with us.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in web development.
• Proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript, ideally with React or Next.js.
• A current project you can show: production code, side project, or open source.
• You enjoy working across the entire stack and like frontend and backend equally.
• You are responsible for features end-to-end and can design a good interface without a designer if necessary.
• AI tooling is part of your daily work, and you critically examine the results just as much as you use them.
• Basic understanding of databases (SQL) and API design.
• You want to understand why something is being built before you build it.
• German language skills at least at B2 level.
