Product Domain Specialist - Agricultural Sector

1. Subject Matter Expert

• Support product teams (primarily teams responsible for developments related to the agricultural sector) in the design and validation of accounting features (workshops, prototype reviews…);

• Assist product managers in translating accounting needs into understandable product specifications;

• Document product decisions in relation to accounting regulations;

• Challenge proposed solutions from an accounting perspective and arbitrate between different user feedback if necessary.

2. Regulatory Monitoring

• Coordinate with legal and compliance teams;

• Translate the product impacts of new agricultural accounting regulations (e.g., modifications to the chart of accounts, evolution of standards);

• Prioritize and plan necessary compliance updates.

3. QA

• Participate in defining accounting test scenarios;

• Validate the conformity of calculations, accounting entries, financial statements, tax declarations, etc.;

• Confirm the expected accounting result of a feature;

• Participate in quality reviews before major deployments.

4. Knowledge Management

• Create and maintain accounting technical documentation;

• Train product teams on key accounting concepts;

• Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions.

👥 Desired Profile

Education & Experience

• Degree in Accounting/Auditing (DCG, DSCG, DEC) or equivalent

• 5+ years of experience in an accounting firm (with a significant portion of the portfolio composed of agricultural businesses), or within an agricultural accounting software publisher

• Experience in a product or tech company (bonus)

Technical Expertise

• In-depth mastery of French accounting and tax principles related to the agricultural sector

• Knowledge of accounting production processes in firms

• Understanding of the challenges of professional digitalization

• Familiarity with modern accounting tools
