Product Cost Manager - Quartz

What you would do? We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Costing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for pulling and validating standard costs, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating with plant operations to develop precise cost estimates. This role involves updating the Bill of Materials (BOM), understanding routing and run times by sub-assembly, and identifying operational inefficiencies. The Product Costing Manager will also develop should-cost models, assess cost implications for new products, and analyze variances to identify cost drivers and suggest corrective actions. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Responsibilities: * Pull and validate standard costs, ensuring accuracy. * Collaborate with plant operations to develop precise cost estimates. * Update Bill of Materials (BOM). * Understand routing and run times by sub-assembly. * Identify operational inefficiencies. * Develop should-cost models. * Assess cost implications for new products. * Analyze variances to identify cost drivers and suggest corrective actions. * Perform ad-hoc cost analysis as needed. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in product costing or cost accounting. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles. * Experience with BOM and routings. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills required). * Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
