Product Compliance Manager (m/w/d)

What's in it for you?

  • Safeguarding technical product compliance for IAM vehicle parts according to applicable legal and technical requirements
  • Evaluation and implementation of regulatory guidelines on a national and international level
  • Ongoing monitoring of new technological and regulatory developments
    Steering and accompaniment of homologation-, type approval- and conformity assessment procedures
  • Tight cooperation and interdisciplinary collaboration with internal departments such as product management, sales, quality assurance, procurement, and legal/rights
  • Contact person for external testing institutes, authorities, and certification bodies
    Risk assessment and support in crisis and escalation management
  • Safeguarding correct warning-, safety- and labeling instructions
  • Operative implementation of regulatory requirements in existing product and process landscapes
  • Participation in strategic questions around product approval and international market requirements

What should you bring?

  • Degree in engineering or a related field, ideally with experience in the automotive industry or IAM vehicle parts
  • Multiple years of professional experience in a technical/regulatory environment within the automotive industry or IAM vehicle parts
  • Very high technical product understanding and strong business focus
  • Experience in practical implementation of regulatory requirements – no theoretical or research-oriented approach
  • Good knowledge of substance law (REACH, POP etc.) and liability law (EUDR etc.)
  • Knowledge of labeling obligations based on German and EU regulations
  • Knowledge in the areas: homologation, type approval- and conformity assessment procedures in Germany and the EU
  • High initiative and willingness to continuously adapt to new technical requirements
  • Assertiveness and structured problem-solving approach
  • First experiences in crisis management are advantageous
  • Very good German and English skills
