Procurement Specialist

Our operations focus on the manufacturing of speed, position, and magnetic sensor solutions used in the automotive industry worldwide. What are we looking for? The Direct Material Purchasing Specialist is responsible for creating and executing sourcing strategies, identifying cost-saving projects and resolving procurement-related issues. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's overall objectives. • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs through negotiations with suppliers, process improvements, and other means. • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their material requirements and developing solutions to meet those needs. • Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluating their capabilities and pricing. • Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. • Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier performance metrics and contract details. • Providing regular updates to stakeholders on procurement progress and identifying areas for improvement. What are the requirements? The ideal candidate will have: • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. • At least 3 years of experience in direct material purchasing or a related field. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
