Procurement Manager - Renewables industry

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Renewables firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Procurement Manager in Cape Town, WC. Responsibilities: Key player in supplier and subcontractor vetting procedures alongside COO. This would need to be done for any country in Africa which requires an installed system. Vet suppliers and products that has been requested for use by the Engineering Department. Keep pricelists updated for Engineering Department to use for detailed project costing. Drive procurement processes from start to finish, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities into overall business objectives. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal departments. Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, risk management, and cost savings initiatives. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform procurement decisions. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products, services, and operations to make informed procurement decisions. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.
