Procurement Executive

Great Eastern Shipping is hiring for the role of Procurement Executive (Buyer) who will be a part of the Material Procurement Team. About the Role We are looking for candidates with 5-8 years relevant work experience in the Procurement Department of a Shipping Company for the Procurement Executive (Buyer) role. Responsibilities To manage end to end support of Procurement for allocated ships which involves: Enquire and seek quotations from registered vendors. Compare quotations once received and evaluate the same based on quality, price, delivery time, etc. Negotiate with vendors as required to finalize the best deal. Place orders with selected vendors after obtaining necessary approvals. Monitor and track procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of materials. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions. Prepare reports and provide updates on procurement activities to management. Coordinate with other departments such as Logistics, Engineering, and Finance for smooth procurement process. Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement same. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure long-term partnerships. Ensure that all procurement activities are in compliance with company's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
