Procurement and Commercial Specialist

Mō te tūnga | About the role Defence Commercial Services provides professional commercial and procurement expertise to the NZDF, to support its ‘end-to-end' operational objectives, ensuring we adhere to policy with regards to procurement planning, sourcing, contracting, strategic supplier relationship and contract management. You will deliver the end to end procurement lifecycle with a strategic focus through the delivery of complex and exciting procurement and commercial projects. You will ensure that all procurement activities are aligned with Defence Commercial Services’ policies and procedures, and that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, and be able to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will also be required to maintain accurate records and reports, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of procurement projects.
