What you will be working on

As a Process Technician, you are responsible for carrying out maintenance work on our drinking water installations so that the production process continues uninterrupted. You are crucial in preventing and resolving malfunctions.

Important tasks:

  • You carry out maintenance work in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan;
  • You perform independent operational tasks for maintenance work on location;
  • You resolve various types of malfunctions to minimize disruption for our customer;
  • You proactively participate in the maintenance meeting where you evaluate encountered malfunctions and make improvement proposals regarding the maintenance of our assets;
  • You perform inspections and control rounds at the production sites and guide third parties in various activities at the locations;

  • A completed MBO-4 education in technology, preferably in electrical engineering;
  • Experience with troubleshooting technical malfunctions and maintenance of installations.

Do you have the ambition to grow? This can be done, among other things, in the function of Specialist Electrical Engineering, Specialist Mechanical Engineering, Technical Manager, or Engineer. We pay a lot of attention to the introduction period: during this period, you will get to know your colleagues and the organization, and you will follow training to become familiar with the drinking water production process.

Special conditions

For the operational team Friesland, Vitens is looking for a Process Technician for the standby duty team. You live in or near the region. Outside regular working hours, you will participate in standby duty according to a roster (1 in 6 weeks), for which designation as a qualified person (NEN 3140) is necessary. For standby duty, you will receive a standby allowance.

This is how we take care of you

As a Process Technician, you will strengthen our full-time team. For this, you can count on the following employment conditions, among others (based on 40 hours per week):

  • Up to €4,623 gross per month. In addition, you will receive a Flexible Employment Conditions Budget (FAB) of 15.49% on top of your salary. This budget includes your holiday pay and year-end bonus, among other things.
  • 31.5 vacation days (25 vacation days + 52 hours).
  • Opportunity to follow job-related training.
  • Standby allowance upon participation in the standby duty (1 in 6 weeks).
