Process Technician

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

Designs the process of operational areas to ensure efficient and safe operation, along with the implementation of said process, designs through procedures, work instructions, tools, utensils, templates, and/or equipment that allow achieving the objective.

RESPONSIBILITIES THAT THE POSITION MAY INCLUDE:

• Takes on responsibilities and tasks assigned by their immediate superior and completes them satisfactorily.

• Balances workload (time employed, etc.)

• Knowledge of ergonomics in work positions..

• Application of continuous improvement methodology (Just in time, kanban, lean, etc.)

• Knowledge of Industry 4.0

• Basic use of Autocad.

• Knowledge of statistics.

• Knowledge of MRP / Oracle.

• Responsible for manufacturing KPIs.

• Maintains the work area in order and clean.

• Actively participates in improving the Quality/Security and Environmental System, based on procedures and instructions, as well as sharing, understanding, and complying with the Quality/Security and Environmental Policy.

• Designs the process flow to ensure a proper flow of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished products, always seeking to optimize the use of physical space in the plant, as well as designing a manufacturing process that allows producing the product efficiently and optimizing the use of human resources and materials through lean manufacturing techniques.

• Defines tools, equipment, templates, poka-yokes, etc. that allow carrying out a robust process that guarantees the quality of the product.

• Duplicates processes, tools, customer plans, specifications, and any client requirements through work instructions, procedures, checklists, etc., as needed, in accordance with the quality system of the plant.

• Coordinates team efforts to identify product failure modes, as well as works together with the Quality Engineer to ensure taking necessary actions to adhere to requirements, redesigning or updating any of the above points.

• Provides support to operational areas in resolving problems and defining methods.

• Executes projects for cost reduction (idle time, material optimization, labor reduction, etc.) and quality improvement (reduction of defects, cost of poor quality, etc.).

• Other directions assigned by their immediate supervisor.

• PRACTICAL PREPARATION OF SAMPLES

• BASIC CALCULATIONS ON MACHINE CAPABILITIES AND CREATION OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

• SUPPORTING A POSITIVE SAFETY CULTURE TO ENSURE THAT PRODUCTION LINES MEET ALL HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• ANALYSIS OF PROCESS FAILURES AND CLEAR ROOT CAUSE INVESTIGATION

• PERFORMS WORK ACCORDING TO STANDARD WORK METHODS IN MATTER OF SAFETY AND QUALITY.

• FOLLOWS THE INTERNAL WORK REGULATIONS AND ESTABLISHED SAFETY REQUIREMENTS BY THE COMPANY.

• COMPLETES AND SHARES WITH AVERY DENNISON'S ETHICS AND VALUES POLICY.

• APPLIES AND PROMOTES THE 5'S IN THEIR WORK AREA.

• IN CASE THEY FORM PART OF ANY BRIGADE OR COMMITTEE OF THE COMPANY, THEY MUST COMPLETE THE CORRESPONDING ACTIVITIES.
