Process Engineer - Motorsport

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our team in Deva and support the manufacturing of complex electrical wiring harnesses for the motorsport industry.

This is a hands-on engineering role, working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality, with direct involvement in new product introduction, process development and continuous improvement.

If you enjoy working with technical products, solving real production problems and seeing the direct result of your work on the shop floor, this role may be a good fit.

•  Develop and improve manufacturing processes for complex wiring harnesses.

•  Support the introduction of new products into production.

•  Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, BOMs and customer specifications.

•  Translate engineering requirements into clear and practical manufacturing instructions.

•  Define and improve production methods, tooling, fixtures and workstations.

•  Provide technical support to the production team and solve manufacturing issues.

•  Improve production flow, efficiency, quality and repeatability.

•  Support time studies and manufacturing cost improvements.

•  Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.

•  Work closely with Engineering and Quality to ensure product manufacturability and robust processes.

•  Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen activities.

•  Technical university degree in Engineering, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or similar.

•  Previous experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.

•  Ability to read and understand technical drawings, electrical diagrams and technical documentation.

•  Good practical understanding of manufacturing processes.

•  Problem-solving mindset and ability to work directly with production teams.

•  Good English communication skills.

•  Organized, proactive and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:

•  Wiring harness manufacturing.

•  Automotive, motorsport, aerospace or other high-performance industries.

•  Electrical components, connectors, cables and related manufacturing technologies.

•  High-mix / low-volume production.

•  Prototype or new product introduction activities.

•  Lean Manufacturing, 5S or Kaizen.

Direct motorsport experience is an advantage, but not mandatory.
