Process Engineer – Heavy Industry Fabrications
Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our heavy industry fabrications team. This role focuses on continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across all production activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in industrial environments, and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost efficiency, and quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies to reduce waste and enhance operational performance.
- Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
- Drawing Interpretation: Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, quality assurance, and design engineers to align process improvements with business objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Training & Support: Provide technical guidance and training to operators and supervisors on new processes and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in process engineering within heavy industry or fabrication environments.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in CAD software and ERP systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Other: Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
