Process Automation Engineer

Job Profile

As a Process Automation Engineer, you play a crucial role at the heart of our production environment. You are responsible for managing, maintaining, and continuously improving the process automation landscape (ISA levels 1, 2, and 3 – both hardware and software).

You ensure the reliability and availability of our production processes and translate data and technology into smart, practical improvements that advance the organization. This is a hands-on role with significant impact, in which you work closely with Operations, Production Support Engineering, and external technology partners.

What will you do!

In this dynamic role, you will be involved in:

• Managing, maintaining, and further developing process automation systems (ISA levels 1, 2, and 3)

• Continuously improving the NX Production Data Platform

• Initiating, elaborating, and implementing technical improvements and process optimizations

• Supporting Operations with automation incidents, including participation in the on-call service

• Ensuring high availability and quality of production and QC data and active support for data analyses

• Proposing automation and digitalization projects and – after approval – preparing and executing them

• Advising the organization on new technological developments and future-proof solutions

• Actively contributing to strengthening cybersecurity within the OT domain

What we ask!

• You are a proactive automation professional with a passion for technology and improvement:

• A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in process automation

• Hands-on experience with Siemens Step7 / TIA Portal / WinCC

• Experience with ProLeiT Plant.iT

• Preferably experience with OPC UA and AVEVA PI

• Willingness to continuously develop yourself and the organization
