Private Equity Operations Manager / Operations Director (m/f/d)

We are looking for an Operations Manager (OM) or Operations Director (m/f/d) for our growing Operations Team, who will tackle projects for operational optimization and sustainable increase of company value.
Our OMs typically take on responsibility in the management of portfolio companies, depending on suitability, experience, and the situation. The role thus offers the ideal springboard to develop into a top management position/managing director position (CEO, COO, CXO) including equity participation in a portfolio company within a few years and to implement your own business cases & investments within the setup.
Most important prerequisite: You should have the desire to work operationally in the medium-sized business sector! This includes the willingness to actively engage in the usually very operational and practical work in a typical medium-sized business environment and to take responsibility for diverse topics.

• Execution of various projects for the operational further development of the respective portfolio companies through process optimization and by increasing growth
• Depending on suitability, experience, and situation, temporary management responsibility in the respective portfolio company, e.g., as Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, or Production Manager
• Support in transactions – both in the purchase and sale process (e.g., conducting Commercial Due Diligence)

• Successful completion of a business or technical degree from a renowned university
• Either 5+ years of consulting experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm…
• …or a combination of 3+ years of relevant top management consulting experience and 2+ years in industry (including initial operational management experience)
• High digital affinity and ideally experience with digital transformation projects
• Analytical approach to problems as well as entrepreneurial implementation strength
• Strong affinity for medium-sized businesses (hands-on mentality, strong communication skills)
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
• Willingness to travel or flexibility, as a high presence on-site at the portfolio companies is required
