Principal Scientist (Oncology / Metabolism) — Early Discovery Module Lead

Role Overview The Principal Scientist serves as a module lead within the Early Discovery team, independently driving target biology research, early validation strategies, MOA hypothesis development, and target assessment. The role requires strong scientific judgment, project ownership, and effective communication with CROs and scientific collaborators. The successful candidate will also contribute scientific insights across projects and help strengthen best practices for early discovery. Key Responsibilities: • Independently drive target biology research, early validation strategies, MOA hypothesis development, and target assessment. • Develop and execute comprehensive study plans to achieve project goals. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective project strategies. • Provide scientific insights across projects and help strengthen best practices for early discovery. • Communicate effectively with CROs and scientific collaborators. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards. • Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements in oncology and metabolism. Requirements: • Ph.D. in a relevant life science or related field. • 5+ years of experience in early discovery research, preferably in oncology or metabolism. • Strong understanding of target biology, MOA hypothesis development, and target assessment. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong scientific judgment and problem-solving skills. • Experience with CROs and scientific collaborators.
