Job Summary About the Role The Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC), A*STAR, is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to conduct cutting-edge research in Healthcare AI Safety, Trustworthy AI, and Responsible AI Systems. The successful candidate will lead the development of methodologies, frameworks, and technologies that ensure AI systems are safe, reliable, robust, transparent, and clinically trustworthy for deployment in healthcare settings. The role will focus on advancing the state-of-the-art in AI safety, trustworthiness, and responsibility through interdisciplinary research collaborations with clinicians, data scientists, and engineers. Key responsibilities include: • Developing novel methodologies and frameworks for ensuring AI systems are safe, reliable, robust, transparent, and clinically trustworthy. • Collaborating with clinicians, data scientists, and engineers to advance the state-of-the-art in AI safety, trustworthiness, and responsibility. • Conducting cutting-edge research in Healthcare AI Safety, Trustworthy AI, and Responsible AI Systems. • Publishing research findings in top-tier conferences and journals. • Mentoring junior researchers and students. • Participating in project meetings and reporting progress to stakeholders. Requirements: • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. • Strong background in AI, machine learning, and data science. • Experience in developing novel methodologies and frameworks for ensuring AI systems are safe, reliable, robust, transparent, and clinically trustworthy. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
