Principal Product Safety Engineer

Job Title: Principal Product Safety Engineer Location: Broad Oak, Frimley, New Malden or Filton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Circa £70,000 depending on qualifications and experience What you’ll be doing: Providing support to the functions Technical Authority teams with the management of the hazards, risks and associated mitigations and contribute to the development of the hazard logs and risk assessments. You will also provide input into the development of the product safety strategy and contribute to the review and approval of product safety documentation. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products are designed and manufactured in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. What we’re looking for: A highly experienced and qualified Principal Product Safety Engineer who has a strong background in product safety, risk assessment and mitigation. You will have experience working in a regulated industry such as aerospace, automotive or medical devices. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment and have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field such as engineering, physics or chemistry and a professional qualification such as CEng or CSci. You will also have experience with hazard identification and risk assessment tools and techniques and be familiar with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 13485:2016 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
