Principal Engineer - QA & Automation

As Principal Engineer – QA and Automation , you will own the quality architecture for a platform where AI agents generate a significant and growing share of production code. This role requires a deep understanding of software development, testing, and automation principles, as well as experience in designing and implementing test frameworks, tools, and methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the quality architecture for our platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs, and collaborating with engineers to develop automated tests that meet the needs of our AI-generated code. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality architecture for our platform, ensuring high-quality software delivery through automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). • Design and implement test frameworks, tools, and methodologies that meet the needs of our AI-generated code, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs. • Collaborate with engineers to develop automated tests that meet the needs of our platform, leveraging your expertise in QA and automation to drive innovation and growth. • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their testing needs and priorities, developing solutions that meet those needs. • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering teams, product owners, and project managers. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development, testing, and automation, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and growth at Datacom. What You'll Need: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent experience. • 5+ years of experience in software development, testing, and automation, with a focus on QA and automation principles. • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies. • Experience designing and implementing test frameworks, tools, and methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.
