Principal Engineer – Electrical Systems

Job Title: Principal Engineer – Electrical Systems Salary: up to £65500 depending on skills and experience Location: Scotstoun – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role What you’ll be doing: Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team to achieve high performance. Participate fully in developing, maintaining, and modifying Electrical Systems Act as main point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in order to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly managed and executed. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Developing and implementing electrical systems designs and solutions Providing technical guidance and support to team members Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards Identifying and mitigating risks associated with electrical systems Designing and developing test plans and procedures for new or modified electrical systems Coordinating with suppliers and customers to ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner Providing technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders on electrical systems-related matters What we’re looking for: The successful candidate will be an experienced Principal Engineer with a strong background in Electrical Systems. You should have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) would be advantageous.
