Our client is an award-winning building design consultancy. They are looking for a Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. This role can be based in Kendal or Cockermouth and will offer hybrid working options.

About the Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer Position
The Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer will be an integral part of the Building Services team within a multi-disciplinary organisation. This role involves providing a variety of services including building pathology, design, project management, building surveys, and contract administration.
Other responsibilities include:
Produce early design advice through to detailed electrical services design.
Conduct Electrical Building Services design calculations using industry-standard software such as Hevacomp, DIALux, and Relux.
Undertake detailed surveys on electrical building services to advise on their suitability for continued use.
Oversee and supervise the installation of building services systems, undertake commissioning management, and specify maintenance and operating procedures.
About You – Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer
Candidates should be qualified and equipped with suitable experience to manage an increasing project workload. Essential qualifications include a Degree or HNC in Building Services/Electrical Engineering, ideally working towards MCIBSE, and a full UK driving licence.
Other requirements include:
Proficiency with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD, and NBS software.
Experience in contract administration of construction contracts.
Strong strategic thinking and the ability to manage the entire sales process.
