Job description

We Are: At Synopsys, we drive the innovations that shape the way we live and connect. Our technology is central to the Era of Pervasive Intelligence, from self-driving cars to learning machines. We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration, empowering the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content. Join us to transform the future through continuous technological innovation. You Are: You are a passionate and highly skilled engineer with deep expertise in Design-for-Test (DFT) methodologies and implementation. You will be a key contributor to the development of cutting-edge DFT solutions for advanced semiconductor designs. What You’ll Do: * Lead and drive DFT architecture definition, implementation, and verification for complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs. * Develop and implement test strategies, including scan, memory BIST, logic BIST, and boundary scan, to ensure high test coverage and fault detection. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, verification, and manufacturing, to ensure successful chip testing and product release. * Perform ATPG (Automatic Test Pattern Generation) using industry-standard tools. * Analyze test coverage and fault grading results, and drive improvements to DFT implementation and test patterns. * Debug and resolve DFT-related issues during silicon bring-up and characterization. * Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers. * Stay abreast of the latest advancements in DFT techniques and methodologies. Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. * 8+ years of experience in DFT implementation and verification. * Strong understanding of DFT architectures, including scan, memory BIST, logic BIST, and boundary scan. * Extensive experience with industry-standard DFT tools, such as Tessent, Mentor Graphics TestKompress, or similar. * Proficiency in ATPG, fault simulation, and test pattern generation. * Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and test methodologies. * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. * Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Tcl) is a plus. * Experience with low-power design and DFT techniques is a plus. * Experience with automotive or safety-critical applications is a plus. At Synopsys, we're at the forefront of the technological revolution, powering the future of innovation. Join us and be a part of something big.
