Principal Data Solution Architect

We are seeking an outstanding Principal Data Solution Architect to guide strategic direction and foster top-tier innovation across our organization.

In this pivotal position, you will define, construct, and manage cutting-edge data architectures aligned with long-term business goals. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, advanced solutions in a highly dynamic and complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise-grade data pipeline architectures for global scalability
• Lead the development and deployment of advanced real-time streaming platforms for critical data ingestion
• Architect and enhance multi-petabyte data lakes to ensure high-performance access and optimized storage
• Oversee the creation and automation of sophisticated ETL and ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory
• Integrate distributed data processing frameworks and advanced analytics leveraging Azure Databricks and PySpark
• Design and govern comprehensive cloud infrastructure strategies utilizing Azure IaaS and PaaS models
• Establish enterprise-wide networking and CI/CD strategies through Azure DevOps
• Develop robust data strategies for telemetry monitoring and advanced log analytics across diverse systems
• Drive advancements in time-series analytics and operational insights using Azure Data Explorer and KQL
• Direct the implementation of data governance, security frameworks, and compliance protocols through Azure Purview
• Translate intricate business needs into impactful, forward-facing technical strategies utilizing Azure technologies
• Foster collaboration and strategic alignment across executive stakeholders while mentoring senior professionals
• Architect Agile and DevOps methodologies to fuel innovation and enhance organizational resilience

Requirements

• 16+ years' experience in Data Solution Architecture
• A minimum of 8 years in senior leadership roles, preferably across Agile enterprise organizations
• Involvement in 5+ large-scale projects with hands-on contributions
• Proven management capability with multidisciplinary teams
• Advanced knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks (PySpark), Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Explorer for mission-critical analytics
• Extensive background in distributed systems and large-scale analytics focusing on PySpark and Azure Databricks
• Showcase of expertise in designing and managing globally scalable data lakes, pipelines, and real-time solutions with Azure Data Explorer
• Advanced proficiency in ETL/ELT automation, integration, and orchestration processes using Azure technologies
• Qualifications in cloud infrastructure, including IaaS/PaaS strategies, networking, and CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps
• Capability to define telemetry and log analytics solutions at scale using Azure Data Explorer
• Proficiency in time-series data analysis, delivering operational insights with Azure Data Explorer and KQL
• Competency in enterprise security protocols, compliance frameworks, and governance strategies utilizing Azure Purview
• Understanding of translating technical requirements into impactful strategies using Azure and Azure Data Explorer
• Strong communication and leadership skills to mentor multi-disciplinary teams and align stakeholders
• Familiarity with advanced Agile and DevOps processes promoting organizational growth and stability
• English language proficiency at an Advanced level (C1) or higher

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Scala for advanced data processing and optimization
• Experience with advanced ML/AI models and frameworks leveraging Azure Machine Learning and Databricks
• Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar
