Principal Data Engineer (m/f/d) - GIS / Geospatial

We are looking for you immediately at one of our German locations in Munich, Nuremberg, Frankfurt am Main, Essen, Leipzig or Berlin!

Data and AI are your home? Your new challenge will be structured as follows:

• Conception and development of modern solutions for the management, processing, and integration of geodata
• Design of data architectures and data models for complex GIS, 3D, and infrastructure data
• Development and optimization of data integration and transformation processes with technologies such as ArcGIS and FME
• Consulting our clients on the selection and further development of suitable GIS, database, and system architectures
• Analysis of requirements and translation into technical target images, interfaces, and solution concepts
• Support for proof-of-concepts, technical validations, and the transfer of solutions into productive operation
• Moderation of workshops and communication of technical contexts to clients and stakeholders tailored to the audience
• Taking on technical responsibility in projects and actively contributing your expertise to our Engineering Community

Data is in your DNA? This is what you should bring:

• A successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Data Engineering, Geodesy, or a comparable field forms the basis
• You bring several years of professional experience in Data Engineering, GIS, Geodata Management, or a comparable technical environment
• You have very good knowledge of Esri ArcGIS, ideally with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise
• Practical experience with FME for transformation, integration, and processing of geodata is part of your profile
• Very good knowledge of relational and spatial databases, especially PostgreSQL/PostGIS, distinguishes you
• In-depth knowledge of geodata models, georeferencing, coordinate systems, and spatial data processing processes completes your technical profile
• You also bring good to very good knowledge of Python
• You have experience in the area of 3D geodata, and ideally also with BIM, CAD, and GIS integrations
• Experience in technical consulting, system conception, and workshop moderation is also part of your spectrum of experience
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
• Ideally, you have a certification in the Esri or FME environment, e.g., as an ArcGIS Enterprise Administration Professional or FME Certified Professional
• Very good communication skills in German and English, as well as willingness to travel in the context of consulting activities, complete your profile
