We are looking for you starting immediately at one of our German locations in Munich, Nuremberg, Essen, Leipzig, Berlin or Frankfurt am Main !
Your Tasks
Is Data and AI your home? Furthermore, your new challenge will be structured as follows:
- Conception and setup of Big Data / Analytics / AI platforms, including DevOps workflows, IaC, CI/CD, IAM and Monitoring & Alerting
- Conception, development and scaling of data pipelines on various cloud architectures, incorporating data quality measures, as well as the design and implementation of data models
- Operationalization of statistical and AI models as well as results from Data Scientists, in order to make them available for productive use or to automate them
- Selection and advising of clients on the advantages and disadvantages of various technology stacks, suited to the use cases and the company's environment
- Taking on a leading role in client communication and managing engineering projects with technical responsibility for a development team and project results
- Building Data Engineering expertise within the company, e.g., by holding internal training sessions, leading internal projects, and actively participating in the Engineering Community
Your Profile
Is Data also in your DNA? You should bring this with you:
- Successfully completed studies in Informatics, Computer Science, Data Engineering or another mathematical/scientific field, or a comparable qualification
- Strong communication skills (fluent) in German and English, as well as willingness to travel as part of consulting activities
- At least 6 years of full-time professional experience as a Data Engineer in the conception & implementation of data platforms and data management processes, or in a similar professional field
- At least 5 years of practical application of common programming languages such as Python, Scala, SQL and developer tools such as GIT
- At least 4 years of implementation experience with Big Data technologies, especially Spark / Kafka, distributed storage systems, OpenTable formats, and cluster computing
- At least 4 years of experience working with a variety of cloud components (Object Storage, Databases, Message Services, ETL / ELT Engines, Security, Scheduling, Operations, Monitoring, etc.) in the AWS / Azure / GCP area
- Experience with at least one of the following technologies: Databricks / Snowflake / AWS Sagemaker / Azure Synapse / similar Data Analytics Platforms
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK or similar, as well as with common CI/CD processes and tools
- Nice to have: Experience with UNIX systems and network configuration
