Your tasks

What you will do with us

You will independently take responsibility for topics in cloud-native projects on the SAP Business Technology Platform. You will design architecture, write code, technically lead parts of the team, and act as a sparring partner on equal terms — from the initial workshop to productive go-live.

What you bring

• University degree in a STEM field or in Business Administration/Economics with an interest in IT

• Several years of experience in software development, including at least three years productively with CAP and SAP BTP

• Very good knowledge of Node.js or Java, plus CDS, OData V4, Fiori Elements, SAPUI5 from a backend perspective

• Practical experience with Cloud Foundry, MTAR deployments, and the BTP services XSUAA, Destination, Connectivity, Event Mesh, HANA Cloud

• Solid understanding of SAP integration patterns: RAP, ABAP Cloud, SAP Integration Suite, BTP ABAP Environment

• Architectural competence: Domain Driven Design, clean layering, API design and versioning, security and data protection concepts including GDPR

• Proficient with Git, trunk-based development, pull request workflows, and modern engineering tooling

• You address risks early and clearly — and take responsibility for your topics

• Very good German and English, both written and spoken

Ideally in addition

• Experience in the banking, development bank, or insurance sector

• ABAP Cloud and RAP beyond the Steel Thread level

• Hands-on experience with Kyma, Kubernetes, or other cloud-native runtimes beyond Cloud Foundry

• Contributions to open source, technical blog posts, or conference presentations

• Familiarity with SonarQube, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, or comparable observability tools

Compensation

The compensation for this position ranges from EUR 80,000–120,000 per year.
